The Vibe Dance Center remains true to the idea that dance is an art form with a rich history, while also staying current with the latest trends.

Our Hip Hop program is taught in an urban, street style with an emphasis on strong presence and moves while staying true to the culture and history behind the dance form. Instructors seek continous training to keep up with the evolving trends and styles.

Our Breakin’/Freestyle class allows breakers of all ages and level to have an environment to learn, train, practice and battle.

The Vibe’s Jazz program offers a variety of styles inside each class, level and age including lyrical, contemporary, traditional and musical theatre.

Our Lyrical Jazz Class is for ages 13 and up and levels lll or higher with a focus on expression and interpretation of the music and its lyrics.

The Vibe's Ballet program is influenced by both the Vaganova and Weary Methods.  It offers a strong, core foundation in technique, yet encourages the development of self expression and quality of movement by the dancer.  This is a new program designed to reach our younger dancers and develop proper technique and discipline as they grow throughout their dancing years.

We offer Tap in a rhythm style which is rhythm based with a reliance on time signature and the breakdown of the rhythms. Tap classes may perform a variety of styles.

ATTENDANCE, CLASS PLACEMENTS and OBSERVING

  • Regular attendance is essential. Irregular attendance impedes the progress of the student and their class because the instructor must go back and re-teach what was learned the week before.
  • In order to maintain a consistent skill level within each class, students will only be placed in classes that meet their ability. Please respect the instructor's decision on where to place you/your student. Students wishing to advance should take the responsibility to learn techniques properly and thoroughly by attending classes regularly and allowing time for personal practice.
  • Please observe classes from our viewing windows unless permission is given to observe from inside a studio room by the instructor. Please respect our instructing time with your dancer. If you have cause for complaint about a child or instructor, please do not address during class time. Call the studio to arrange a private interview to allow you full attention, respect and gratitude. The studio number is 318-8338.

We understand that these studio policies are detailed and to the point. Our goal is to provide a comfortable and safe environment for all dancers. We want you and your dancers to have the best experience at The Vibe Dance Center.
